We were extremely pleased to have Lexie, daughter of Claire Jones-Hughes, the hugely talented founder of Brighton Mums on our recent Feb half-term holiday swimming course at Roedean School in Brighton.

Janet Madden, founder of Seriously FUN Swimming Schools and Mum to Me (Jonathon) and my Brother Phillip, has been nominated for a Business Award sponsored by MumsClub.

Janet started the family run swim school business back in 1990 and is now expanding across the UK by offering others the chance to run their own Seriously FUN Swimming Schools franchise.

Learn the Water Safety Code:


1. Spot the dangers

Be on the look out for potential hazards when you are around water.

2. Take safety advice

Pay attention to any signs or flags which are designed to help keep you safe.

3. Never swim alone

Always take someone with you when you go swimming, even if you are a competent swimmer.

4. Learn how to help

Call the emergency services or notify a lifeguard, never enter the water to rescue anyone.
